“The Village” is a sterling silver ring designed by MJCC student, Claire Favor. Much of her
inspiration stems from her childhood spent abroad in Europe and traveling around the world.
She created a continuous wrap around village ring with buildings that were designed in a
computer design program and then texture added by hand. The rings were cast, cleaned up, and a final liver of sulfur patina was added that gives a blackened dimension to accentuate
the forms. The center bridge and adjoining buildings are reminiscent of her childhood and allow
for the wearer to interpret the scene for however they can connect with the piece.
